Frederick Seager Sunday, November 28, 1937 - Saturday, July 1, 2017
Frederick Earl Seager, 79, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 1, 2017 surrounded by his family. Born November 28, 1937 in San Francisco, California, Fred was the son of the late Earl Seager and Marie Crossland, and widow to the late Janet B. Seager. A horticulturist at heart, Fred started a nursery in San Francisco, beautifying the city and providing enjoyment to so many. Fred enjoyed a similar passion for music, whether performing in a local band, composing music, or serving as choir Director at Saint Augustine’s Catholic Church in Daly City, California. In Daly City, Fred established Earl Frederick’s Piano Studio, named in honor of his Father, where he blissfully taught piano for many years. As loving father and devout husband, Fred shared these gifts and blessed his family with so many valuable lessons. Fred is survived by his sons Eric Seager, Jonathan Seager and wife Christine, David Seager and wife Martina, as well as his many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church at 1650 Ygnacio Valley Road in Walnut Creek. Family and friends are welcomed to a Vigil and Rosary at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Hull’s Chapel at 1139 Saranap Avenue in Walnut Creek. Flowers and condolences may be sent to Hull’s Chapel at the address noted. May Fred now enjoy eternal happiness with all those who have been waiting to sing by the piano again.
